How to Reset your Academics/Canvas Password

Students, faculty and staff are are to reset their own passwords for Academics and Canvas. This is also the same password for logging into the Virtual Computers and the Campus wifi.

Password Complexity requirements:

Passwords must be at least 14 characters with numbers, symbols and upper & lowercase letters.

Forgotten Password:

1. Go to login.microsoft.com
2. Enter your email address into the “Sign In” area and click “Next”
3. If you are prompted to select an account type, click on “Work or school account”
4. On the “Enter password” screen, click “Forgot my password”
5. A password reset link will be sent to your Prescott College Gmail account. Open that email and follow the instructions to set a new password.

Reset a known password:

1. Go to Office.com and sign in with your current Microsoft credentials.
2. Click your name in the lower left corner of your browser window.
3. Click “View account”
4. Expand the “My Account” heading in the left pane.
5. Click the “Change Password” option.
6. You may be prompted to provide a 2-Step Verification code.
7. In the next screen, enter a new password into the provided boxes.
