class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong><strong>Present during a video meeting<\/strong><\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Tip:<\/strong>&nbsp;There can be a maximum of 10 simultaneous presentations in a meeting at a time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/support.google.com\/meet\/answer\/7308559\">Join a Meet video meeting<\/a>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>At the bottom, click Present now <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"18\" height=\"18\" class=\"wp-image-179\" style=\"width: 18px;\" src=\"https:\/\/tech.prescott.edu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/12\/ShareScreen.png\" alt=\"\">.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Select\u00a0<strong>Your entire screen,<\/strong><strong>A window<\/strong>, or\u00a0<strong>A tab<\/strong>.<ol><li>If you present a Chrome tab, it shares that tab&#8217;s audio by default.<\/li><\/ol><ol><li>To present a different tab, select the tab you want to present, click&nbsp;<strong>Share this tab instead<\/strong>.<\/li><\/ol>\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>If you present a Slides presentation through a tab,\u00a0<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/support.google.com\/meet\/answer\/9308856#ControlSlides\">you can control it in Meet<\/a>.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Click&nbsp;<strong>Share.<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Optional: To unpin your presentation and view it as a tile, click Unpin <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"18\" height=\"18\" class=\"wp-image-180\" style=\"width: 18px;\" src=\"https:\/\/tech.prescott.edu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/12\/Unpin.png\" alt=\"\">You can now see more class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Tips:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>If your camera is turned on, your video is active while you&#8217;re presenting.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>For better presentations and to prevent mirroring, share a new window or\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=yhwytDPQ91w&amp;feature=youtu.be\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>a specific tab<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0instead of the meeting window.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>To share your audio, you must select&nbsp;<strong>Share a Chrome tab<\/strong>&nbsp;or&nbsp;<strong>Share this tab.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Stop presenting<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>In the Meet window, click&nbsp;<strong>Stop Presenting<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>At the bottom right, click\u00a0<strong>You are presenting\u00a0<\/strong><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"18\" height=\"18\" class=\"wp-image-181\" style=\"width: 18px;\" src=\"https:\/\/tech.prescott.edu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/12\/AndThen.png\" alt=\"\"><strong>\u00a0Stop presenting<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Present if someone else is already presenting<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\" start=\"1\">\n<li>At the bottom, click&nbsp;<strong>Present now<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Select&nbsp;<strong>Your entire screen<\/strong>,&nbsp;<strong>A&nbsp;window,&nbsp;<\/strong>or&nbsp;<strong>Chrome Tab.<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Select&nbsp;<strong>Present instead<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Tip:<\/strong>&nbsp;If you start to present during someone else&#8217;s presentation, their presentation will pause.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong><strong>Creating a permanent Meet link<\/strong><\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Google Meet doesn\u2019t promote permanent Meet links, but there is a workaround.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Open Google Calendar and create a recurring event with no end date. Select the \u201cAdd Google Meet videoconferencing\u201d button to generate a link. You can put it in its own sub-calendar, so you can hide it if you prefer.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/assets-global.website-files.com\/646d3c494b3d75dd99420891\/64cac85ca2f09169498c4a2f_Google_Meet_permalink.gif\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The link created from the above action will only persist as long as the event continues in your calendar.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Improve your Wi-Fi or network performance for Google Meets<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>If it appears slow and you are using Wi-Fi, try moving your computer closer to your router. This will clear up problems caused by unreliable or slow Wi-Fi.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Run an Internet speed test<\/strong> to ensure you have sufficient bandwidth. Observe the bandwidth over time to make sure you have a stable connection, which is required for high quality video calling.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Here is a good speed test website:\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.speedtest.net\/\"><strong>https:\/\/www.speedtest.net\/<\/strong><\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Reboot your router and\/or modem.<\/strong> This will resolve any temporary issue caused by a bug in your router or modem. It may also clear up Internet speed or connectivity issues.<ul><li>Unplug your device.<\/li><\/ul><ul><li>Wait another minute, then plug the router\/modem back in.<\/li><\/ul>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Wait at least several minutes for the connection to get back. On some routers, the router light will pulse while it reconnects and then finally turn solid when finished.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Lowering the video resolution may help slow network connections:<\/strong><ul><li>In a web browser, open Google Meets.<\/li><\/ul><ul><li>Click Settings&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Video.<\/li><\/ul><ul><li>Choose a setting you want to change:<ul><li><strong>Camera<\/strong>\u2014Select your camera device. If your camera is working, to the right of Video, you\u2019ll see your video feed.<\/li><\/ul><ul><li><strong>Send resolution<\/strong>\u2014 The image quality from your device that others see. You will want to set this to <strong>Standard definition (360p)<\/strong><\/li><\/ul><ul><li><strong>Receive resolution<\/strong>\u2014 The image quality that you see from other participants.
